Insulation
100mm rockwool covered inside by 5.5 mm ply will keep the ark at a comfortable temperature in winter and summer.

Ventilation
A 2ft x 3 ft window is cut out of the back allowing air to flow through the ark, thereby helping to keep respiratory diseases at bay. Galvanised hinges are used to keep the window open and when not needed the window can be bolted shut. Useful also for arks that are going to be positioned where there is limited or no shade.

Loading Bar
loading bar is fitted on all of the 8 x 10 and 8 x 12 standards and two in 1 arks*. Should you require a loading bar on any of the other sizes these can be fitted for a modest cost.

*please note, it is recommended the 2 in 1 floor be detached from the ark before lifting with a front loader.
Green Sheets
Ideal for conservation areas and woodland settings where galvanised sheeting would not be appropriate.

Doors
Suitable for all our arks, a wire mesh or solid door can be fitted to protect vulnerable stock. However for pigs, we would recommend a wire mesh door to allow some light in. A solid door closes off all light and the resulting darkness in a relatively small space can panic some pigs and possibly cause injuries.
