Bidgiemire Pig Co, the leading pig company in the UK for the smallholder has become synonymous with pig keeping, both in rural and urban environments.
Our arks can be seen in fields and city gardens all over the UK, France and further afield and we have supplied everyone from smallholders to celebrities, zoos to royalty. Bidgiemire is still a family run business however and the arks are manufactured on our smallholding. All the products we sell, we use on a day to day basis with our own traditional breed pigs.
We are not the cheapest, as we don’t use unsuitable materials, or cut corners to enable us to sell cheap. Materials are of the highest quality and up to the job they are intended for. Every ark is hand made to order, built with pigs in mind and customised to the customer’s requirements.
Bidgiemire over the years has made radio and television appearances on such programmes as Sky News, The F Word, BBC Breakfast and smallholding programmes on satellite tv, as well as regularly advising television production companies on pigs for relevant programmes they are making. Our first book Choosing and Keeping Pigs published by Gaia (Hamlyn) is now available to buy, followed next year by our second book Two Pigs for the Freezer and our articles on pig keeping regularly appear in smallholding magazines and farming newspapers.
